About
The Kaphi Project is a social and scientific experiment built around one simple idea — coffee tastes different to everyone. What started as a business slowly became an obsession for its two founders, Amit Sahu and Lindolf Colaco.

Their journey began with the search for the perfect coffee. After visiting estates, roasteries, and cafés, they came to a clear conclusion: there is no perfect coffee. Amit and Lindolf could never agree on a single cup they both loved. What one enjoyed, the other did not — and they realized this is probably true for most people.
Lindolf’s obsession comes from taste. He is driven by the need to explore and understand new flavour profiles. Amit’s fascination lies in process — the growing, the roasting, and the many variables that shape how a coffee looks, smells, and tastes.
Instead of forcing agreement, they chose to embrace their differences. Today, The Kaphi Project shares coffee through both perspectives: Amit puts forward the coffees he prefers, and Lindolf does the same. Together, they explore coffee in its many forms and invite others to do the same.
